| Commercialisation of the MEGA VISION system is targeted for after the Japan-Korea High Data Rate Satellite Communication Project, and in 2001 the mother body of technical development - the MEGA VISION Forum (MVF) within the Digital Content Association of Japan (DCAj) - pursues investigations to achieve this. | |
| In May 2002 the DCAj's MVF members decide by consensus to establish MEGA VISION Corporation to develop commercial equipment and pursue the commercialisation of the MEGA VISION system. | |
